How this works
The engine compares your media dimensions with the chosen placement and reports crop and obstruction overlap for the important rectangle you supply. It does not automatically detect faces or text. Story and Reel bands start with conservative planning defaults: top 15%, bottom 35%, each side 6%. These are not verified official Meta safe zones or policy approval. Adjust them yourself and check the final Meta preview. Feed placements use crop guidance without invented obstruction bands.
A worked example
A square image placed into a tall frame needs cropping when Fill frame is selected. Switch to Fit whole image to see the full image with gaps. Add an important-area rectangle to inspect its fit.
Does this check an entire video?
No. It checks the current captured frame only. Pause or seek, then capture again. Review every important moment in the final placement preview.
What happens to my data?
